Win up to US$3,000 in the FCCA Children’s Poster and Essay Competitions

The Tourism Development Company (TDC) together with the Ministry of Tourism, Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) will once again host the annual FCCA Poster and Essay Competitions.

The competitions which are open to students up to 16 years of age, expose the nation’s youth to the local and global cruise industry and to the many benefits of the industry to the overall economy.

The theme of the poster competition is “Reuse, Recycle…Renew the Caribbean” and students are encouraged to design and create a poster that promotes environmental awareness.

For the essay competition, students must write a five hundred (500) word essay based on the topic “If you were a cruise passenger, what would you want to see and do in your destination?”

In addition to the cash prizes, successful students will have the opportunity to be a part of a site visit on board one of the cruise ships that visit the port of Port of Spain during the local cruise season.

The deadline for the submission of posters is Friday 20th May, 2016 and essays must be submitted by Friday 24th June, 2016
