More than 2000 tour at Tourism Park Tour & Explore
Soca diva Nadia Batson, teen idol Olatunji Yearwood and calypsonian Jervae Caesar headlined a spectacular entertainment line-up at the final weekend of the Tourism Park Tour and Explore 2010 hub which was located at the Eastern Regional Sports Complex in Tacarigua.
The three dynamic performers led an exciting line-up of activities and entertainment including interactive dramatic presentations by the Ministry of Tourism Lifeguards, modern and folk dance, rhythm sections, steelpan, magicians, performances from calypsonian Chucky and extempore artist Lingo.
Over the month of Tourism park activities, more than 2500 toured the country’s sites and attractions; the most popular tours being visits to Tobago and Gasparee Caves/Scotland Bay.
Animal attractions were also featured at the hub and included appearances from Albino Burmese Pythons, Bullet and Mustard.
A collaborative effort staged by the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Development Company, the main purpose Tourism Park is to create awareness of the local tourism industry, sites and attractions among Trinidad and Tobago’s youth in an exciting, interactive and fun format.
Tourism Park also provides young people with an opportunity to engage with Trinidad and Tobago’s diverse tourism product and more than 500 children, from children’s homes and vacation camps, were treated to tours sponsored by the TDC.
