Caribbean Investment Forum 13-14 June, Hilton Trinidad and Conference Center, Lady Young Road, Port of Spain

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago welcomes you to the Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF), which takes place from June 13th to 14th, 2011 at the Hilton Trinidad Hotel and Conference Centre. The CIF is co-hosted by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC). The Forum will provide a unique opportunity for business and government to: Learn from more than 100 speakers and panellists including Heads of Government, Ministers of Finance, Trade and Development, Chairmen and Chief Executives of business and other industry leaders Meet and discuss trade, investment and partnership opportunities Learn about new business and investment prospects The CIF is the first half of Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Investment Week, which also includes the annual Trade and investment Convention (TIC), which runs from June 15th to 18th and is the largest business-to-business trade and investment event in the Southern Caribbean, featuring a business meetings, seminars, presentations and product exhibition. The Forum will showcase investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago and across the region and the potential of the Caribbean to act as a bridge between Commonwealth markets and the Americas. There will be strong business delegations from Commonwealth countries and the Americas region. Participants will include business leaders, investors and Government officials. The CIF opening session will be addressed by the Hon Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Plenary sessions will focus on mobilising investment, enhancing regional cooperation and capital markets and financial services. Sector specific sessions will be held on the following topics: Energy: Oil,   Gas and Renewables; ICT and Telecommunications; ICT, Agribusiness, Food and Beverage; Manufacturing, the Creative Industries; Maritime Industries and Tourism/Leisure Industries.
