The Tourism Development Company Limited,
through the Ministry of Tourism, is responsible for
the safety and security of the visiting public and its
employees at all facilities and sites under its
purview. The five sites, namely Maracas, Las
Cuevas, Manzanilla, Vessigny and La Brea, require
security guard services. However Maracas, Las
Cuevas, Manzanilla, Vessigny and Tyrico only
require beach patrol services. Firms interested in
providing Security Guard & Beach Patrol Services
must meet the following requirements:
- A track record in providing security guard services
- The organisational capacity to provide such services
- Financially stable (initially evidenced by audited financial statements)
- Close proximity of the Security Company to the various sites
- Evidence of reliability of performance
Interested firms are invited to obtain tender packages
containing details of the Scope of Work from
the TDC. Tender Documents may be collected
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of five
hundred dollars (TT$500.00). Tenderers can make
payments via a company cheque payable to the
Tourism Development Company Limited or
deposit at any First Citizens Bank to Account No.
1438075. Tender packages are available at the
Tourism Development Company Limited at Level 1
Maritime Centre, #29 Tenth Avenue, Barataria,
Trinidad & Tobago.

To submit tenders please provide one (1) complete
original and five (5) copies of the Technical and
Financial proposals. Tenders are to be deposited in
the Tenders Box located in the lobby of TDC’s
offices in an unmarked envelope labelled and
addressed to:
“Security Guard & Beach Patrol Services for
Tourism Sites managed by the TDC”

Proposals must be deposited no later than 3:00
p.m. on August 26th 2011. There will be a
public opening of tenders on the same day at 3.15
p.m and all Tenderers are invited to attend.
For the avoidance of doubt, financial proposals
must be marked “FINANCIAL PROPOSAL” and
technical proposals must be marked “TECHNICAL
PROPOSAL.” Tender box opening is 6” X 15”.
The TDC does not bind itself to accept the lowest
bid on any tender proposal.
Late proposals will not be accepted in any circumstances
and bids submitted electronically will not be accepted
