Tourism Park is "On the Road" for 2009!
The Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Development Company Ltd (TDC) of Trinidad and Tobago invites you to join us for Tourism Park 2009 from August 7 to 23.
This year Tourism Park is “On the Road” and each weekend a new, pre selected site in Trinidad will host the event. To encourage visits to local attractions and increase awareness of our national treasures, tours to surrounding areas of interest will also be available at each location.
In addition to tours being available at the highlighted sites from Friday to Sunday, the TDC will host a range of free activities including educational and recreational programmes, giveaways and entertainment.
Discounts on tours will be available.
In 2004, the first ever National Tourism Park was held for one week in August at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya. Since inception, Tourism Park has aimed to provide patrons with tourism-focused, interactive experiences, such as the opportunity to interact with live animals, learn from our nation’s tour guides and view fun and educational videos within a highly entertaining atmosphere.
VENUES
Vessigny Beach Facility (Main Car Park) – 7th to 9th August
Caroni Bird Sanctuary (Main Car Park) – 14th to 16th August
Chagville West, Chaguaramas (near KFC) – 21st to 23rd August
The park will be open to the public from 10am – 6pm daily.
