Trinidad and Tobago Convention Bureau Hosts Business Tourism Workshop
Minister of Tourism the Honourable Joseph Ross will deliver the keynote address at the opening session of the first Business Tourism Workshop, hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Convention Bureau on September 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the Trinidad Hilton & Conference Centre.
An education programme, the Workshop is aimed at providing local tourism stakeholders with practical tools in Destination Management, Marketing and Sales, as well as providing an overview of emerging tourism trends and technologies.
The programme promises to be intense as international business tourism expert and speaker Mr Rick Taylor, of The Business Tourism Company based in South Africa, shares his expertise with local stakeholders, including tour operators, hoteliers, hospitality associations, airline representatives and government officials.
Among the topics to be discussed are Roles and Responsibilities, Industry Associations, Industry Certification Programmes, the Economic Value of the Business Tourism Sector and Source Markets.
The programme, tailored specifically to Trinidad and Tobago, will also include an 11-point plan of initial strategies and tips on preparing winning sales and bidding procedures.
