Taste T&T 2008 ‘Pot Spoon Throw Down’ Recipe & Cooking Competition
April 1, 2008 - ‘Pot Spoon Thrown Down Recipe and Cooking Competition’ is an exciting, new element of the Tourism Development Company Limited's annual, culinary festival Taste T&T, which will take place at the Jean Pierre Complex from May 24-25, 2008. The competition was designed to contribute to the promotion and development of the culinary arts within the community.
For the first leg of the competition, individuals and groups are invited to submit their most scrumptious recipes for some of Trinidad and Tobago's unique and distinctive dishes - doubles, bake and shark, corn soup and oil down. Entrants with the winning recipes would then face off in an ultimate cook out on May 10, 2008. The grand prize winner will not only receive ‘cooking bragging rights’, but also a $5,000 cash prize, and the opportunity to participate in the Taste T&T 2008 Demonstration Kitchen on Sunday, May 25, 2008.
The deadline for submission of entry forms and recipes is April 11, 2008. Late submissions will not be accepted.
